Adolescent Therapy
Adolescence can be a time of profound change for a young person as they transition towards adulthood.
During these years teenagers may experience rapid changes in their emotional states, their physicality, and in their ideas of who they are and how they relate to the world and to others. While these years can be a rewarding & enriching experience, this period of rapid growth can also bring challenges which can lead to feelings of confusion, frustration, loneliness, anger, shame or anxiety.
This can create uncertainty and lead to behaviours or emotions that both teenagers and their caregivers have a difficult time managing.
Therapy can provide a safe, non-judgemental space for adolescents to address emerging mental health concerns at their own pace in an open, understanding environment and learn coping strategies and skills to manage stressors as they transition into adulthood.
