Department of Veteran’s Affairs (DVA)
Forrest Psychology accepts referrals for individuals accessing psychology services through the Department of Veteran’s Affairs (DVA). To enquire about appointments or to book, please contact our friendly reception team.
If you are a veteran, you may be eligible for mental health support funded by DVA. With a valid referral, you can access sessions with a psychologist at no out-of-pocket cost.
-
Eligible White & Gold card holders can access psychology services with a valid GP referral.
Please contact DVA to confirm your eligibility to access services with a psychologist.
-
To access services through DVA, a signed DVA request/referral voucher (D0904) referral is required from your GP. Please contact your treating doctor to learn more.
A DVA referral is valid for one treatment cycle, 12 months or 12 sessions, whichever comes first. You may be eligible for further treatment cycles.

Please note that we accept DVA referrals for individual therapy only, couples therapy is not covered. A private health rebate may be available for couples therapy if you have eligible coverage. Please check with your insurer to learn more.
