Psychological Assessments

Andrew provides psychological assessments for adolescents (11yo+) and adults.

Andrew works with individuals and caregivers to provide comprehensive, reliable and accurate evaluations of a person's current abilities in order to inform decision making, treatment and support options moving forward.

Most assessments require 4-6 hours to complete and this is generally carried out across 1-5 sessions depending on your circumstances and the assessments being carried out.

To learn more about the specific assessment schedules and fees, please contact us so that our welcoming reception team can support you further.

Please note that Andrew is not accepting new clients for psychological assessments at this time.

  • Intellectual (IQ) Assessment

  • Challenges with learning styles and academic functioning in school

  • Cognitive functioning to identify strengths and weaknesses or giftedness

Andrew also provides assessments for QPS applicants:

What can I expect during a psychological assessment?

*Please note that this timeline is not relevant for QPS applicant assessments

Initial Appointment

The initial appointment is a clinical interview with you and/or your child. This allows Andrew to gather the necessary information and background before beginning the assessment(s).

Assessment

Assessment(s) are carried out in 1-2 testing sessions or more depending on your circumstances or individual testing requirements. The number of sessions required will be discussed in your initial appointment.

Report

Once the assessment is complete, Andrew will interpret the results and information gathered and summarise this into a comprehensive report of you or your child's functioning.

Please note that this report may take between 2-3 weeks to be compiled after the last testing session.

Results & Feedback

Once the report is ready, a feedback session will be scheduled for you and/or your child to discuss the report and considerations or recommendations moving forward.
