QPS Self Refer Program
We can provide confidential psychological support for Queensland Police Service (QPS) employees via the SelfRefer program.
Andrew Forrest is an experienced psychologist based in Toowoomba who has worked with police officers, civilian support staff, first responders & defence personnel across various settings, providing evidence-based support for a range of mental health concerns. Andrew provides confidential psychological support both in-clinic and via telehealth for current QPS employees through the SelfRefer program.
QPS employees can access SelfRefer for any reason whether it is personal or work-related.

Current employees of the Queensland Police Service (QPS) are eligible to use SelfRefer.
QPS employees are entitled to six sessions of psychological support in a Financial Year.

When attending your appointment at our practice, (either in-person or via tele-health), you will need to present your current QPS identification to allow our reception team to invoice under the program.

The SelfRefer program is confidential.
When attending your sessions, our reception team will sight your QPS ID only for the purposes of confirming that you are a current QPS employee to allow us to invoice your sessions through the program at no cost to you.
We will anonymise your information by providing the QPS an invoice, with a de-identified number for the invoice, such as: QPS1002
Your registration number or identifying information will not appear on any documentation with your de-identified invoice number.

QPS employees are entitled to six sessions of psychological support in a Financial Year.
Once your six sessions have been utilised for the year, you are able to continue seeing your psychologist privately or access rebates through Medicare with a valid mental health treatment plan referral.

Yes. You are welcome to attend your sessions either in person at the clinic or via telehealth.
